Alabama

Psi (University of Alabama)

A total of seven brothers made the President’s List and 17 brothers made the Dean’s List for the Fall 2023 semester. The chapter’s Fall GPA was a 3.18. The Chapter hosted a formal event in New Orleans in January. New this year, the Chapter has created an internal flag football league for brothers and expanded their campus intramurals teams.

Arkansas

Phi Theta Gamma (Lyon College)

The Chapter has struggled with recruiting, but brothers have rallied, hosting philanthropy events and meeting with nearby Gamma Mu Chapter (University of Memphis) brothers. Phi Theta Gamma is committed to a great ZBT experience.

Arizona

Alpha Omicron (University of Arizona)

Brothers had a service day with Tucson Clean & Beautiful in March to pick up trash in a local park. This followed Moms’ Weekend in late February. Miracle Week philanthropy events to support Children’s Miracle Network was mid-April. With almost 60 new brothers joining the chapter this year, Alpha Omicron is about 190 brothers strong.

Alpha Omicron received recognition for most improved chapter at the campus Greek Awards from 2023.

Gamma Tau (Arizona State University)

Nineteen brothers made the Fall 2023 Dean’s List! The Chapter is very active on campus, participating in many sorority philanthropy events and supporting other groups, and they even recently visited the Alpha Omicron Chapter house at the University of Arizona to share some ZBT Brotherly Love. More than 40 new initiates joined this year, bringing the chapter size to 90.

California

Alpha Delta (Southern California) 

Brothers invited Hillel to the house to have a Shabbat in February. Alpha Delta won the trophy in a sorority philanthropy basketball tournament.

Alpha Eta (University of California, Berkeley)

Alpha Eta has the third highest GPA among Interfraternity Council groups. Spring recruitment events included yard games, NFL game viewing and, of course, food. The Chapter is over 40 brothers in size. Late in the fall, the Chapter hosted a big gameday event for the Cal vs. Stanford game, which the Golden Bears won. Last term, the Chapter raised $1,500 across ZBT philanthropies Children’s Miracle Network, JWI and the Zeta Beta Tau Foundation.

Alpha Eta was approved to celebrate its Chartering Ceremony by the Supreme Council. The event is being planned for fall.

Alpha Rho (University of California-Los Angeles)

Recent renovations were completed at the Chapter house at 10924 Strathmore Drive, and 24 new brothers joined Alpha Rho in Spring 2024, bringing the Chapter size to almost 90.

Beta Lambda (San Diego State University) 

Brothers had a swab drive for Gift of Life swab drive and fundraiser, selling “ZBTacos” and pies to the face of brothers in March. The Chapter grew by 18 new brothers in March and graduated 13 seniors in May.

Eta Mu (California Polytechnic State-San Luis Obispo)

The Chapter continues to support its local philanthropy, Hawthorne Elementary, with several events and by producing a calendar to sell each year. Dads’ weekend was in early March. The Chapter grew by 13 new brothers in spring and is now 125 brothers strong.

Eta Upsilon (Santa Clara University)

Family Weekend was at the end of February, with events including an auction to support the chapter and brunch.

Gamma Beta (California State University-Northridge)

In April, the Chapter had a philanthropy event called ZBTouchdown to benefit Children’s Hospital LA. Brothers enjoy brotherhood activities including broomball, Tacos And 2k, campus intramurals, snowboarding and skiing and more. The intramural basketball team won the league championship! Eleven new brothers joined Gamma Beta in spring.

Gamma Xi (University of California-Santa Barbara)

In February, Gamma Xi hosted a powderpuff football game to benefit the American Cancer Society. Spring recruitment saw 20 new brothers join the chapter. Brothers love spending time together, surfing, skiing, going to concerts and visiting the beach.

Colorado

Beta Alpha Theta (University of Colorado Boulder)

The Chapter hosted two great philanthropies this semester. The week of April 21 was Get on the Ball, and in early May they hosted an event called Freeski that raised more than $3,000 for Children’s Miracle Network. Beta Alpha Theta welcomed 17 new brothers in spring.

Iota (University of Denver)

Eight brothers were on the Dean’s List for Fall 2023. Several brothers who study in the Fritz Knobel School of Hospitality Management took part in a career fair in February. Brother Hank Bricken, 2027, won the Mr. Alpha Phi philanthropy for 2024.

Connecticut

Eta Omicron (Quinnipiac University)

The Chapter has earned recognition by the university again and has resumed recruitment and activities. Alumni support and volunteers are needed at Quinnipiac. If you are interested in supporting the Eta Omicron Brotherhood, email ZBT International Headquarters.

District of Columbia

Phi Alpha Alpha (The George Washington University)

Brothers hosted their families for a Mothers’ Weekend in mid-April. The Chapter is very active with Chabad, including co-hosting a Greek (food and fraternity) theme Shabbat in January. On May 5, the Chapter partnered with other Jewish campus organizations on a Yom Hashoah event, Holocaust Walk to Remember.

Beta Psi (American University)

Get on the Ball in mid-April included a water balloon fight on the quad. Brotherhood events this semester included paintball and game nights. New Executive Board officers elected in May will be led by Lucas M. Dopico, 2026, as Chapter President.

Delaware

Epsilon Theta (University of Delaware)

The Chapter has a strong commitment to Intellectual Awareness, with 28 brothers on the Dean’s List in the fall semester. Thirteen new brothers joined Epsilon Theta this year, bringing the Chapter size to 67.

Brothers enjoyed a beach weekend in late April in Ocean City and participated in the UDance campus event to support The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation. Thirteen new brothers joined Epsilon Theta this year.

Brothers Matthew Sternheim and Dillon Mandes have Director roles on the IFC.

Florida

Alpha Omega (University of Miami)

The Chapter grew by 27 new brothers in spring, reaching over 135 brothers total. Greek Week was in early March, and Alpha Omega hosted a petting zoo in April.

Brother Kyle M. Sygall, 2024, has been tapped into the Iron Arrow Honor Society, the highest honor attained at the University of Miami.

Alpha Zeta (University of Florida)

Alpha Zeta won the intramural soccer league in spring. In late April, the ZBTahiti Volleyball Tournament raised more than $8,500 for JWI and Children’s Miracle Network. Eight new brothers joined the Chapter this semester, putting Alpha Zeta over 100 brothers.

Delta Iota (University of Central Florida)

The Chapter was a co-sponsor of Chabad at UCF’s Mega Shabbat in February, attended by hundreds of students. They are very involved in supporting sorority philanthropic activities as well as Knight Thon.

Delta Omicron (University of Tampa)

The Chapter won Greek Week in late February! They were paired with Delta Zeta and had a lot of fun and philanthropy for all fraternities and sororities. Several brothers 2024 Publix Gasparilla 8k marathon in March as group. Formal was in South Beach in April.

Eta Rho (Florida International University)

In February, the brothers sold flowers on campus as a fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network.

Gamma Chi (University of South Florida)

The Chapter’s main philanthropy event was a bubble soccer tournament that raised $6,000 for Children’s Miracle Network and JWI. They followed up this success with a win in the Interfraternity Council’s basketball tournament, with a prize of an additional $500 for philanthropy. And continuing their championship streak, Gamma Chi won the intramural football championship with a fourth consecutive undefeated season.

University of North Florida

In March, the brothers had a basket raffle for philanthropy and a mixer with Alpha Chi Omega.

Zeta Alpha (Florida State University)

This newly returned Prospective Chapter is finding an immediate place on campus and in ZBT. Brothers participated in Dance Marathon, attend many Jewish Student Union events, sorority philanthropies, community service opportunities and several ZBT international events. Ten new brothers joined in the second Charter Brother class this spring.

Georgia

Eta Lambda (Emory University)

Brothers are very involved in club sports, including with team captain roles. They have been engaging with alumni in a series of alumni panels in which alumni discuss memorable ZBT experiences, their personal growth through fraternity and careers. Eta Lambda grew by 19 new brothers in spring.

Xi (Georgia Institute of Technology)

Get on the Ball was in February, rolling the ball around campus to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Brothers also participated in Dance Marathon. Community service is a big aspect for the Chapter, with each brother reporting a minimum of 20 hours of service each semester. Brothers enjoy playing intramural basketball.

Xi Chapter hosted ZBT’s Regional Officer Institute in February on the Tech campus – thank you, brothers!

Illinois

Gamma (Northwestern University)

The Chapter has a great tie to the Jewish community on campus, such as hosting a Hanukkah party with Chabad and sponsoring an educational program with bagels over Yom Hazikaron and Yom Haatzmaut. The Chapter welcomed 31 new brothers in spring.

Rho (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign)

The Chapter has a great partnership with Chabad, who helped them install a new 4-foot LED menorah at the house this December. They had a big Super Bowl event in February and formal in April. A team of brothers came in third in the spring IFC golf tournament.

Delta Lambda (Monmouth College)

Thirteen brothers were on the Dean’s List in Fall 2023. Recent recruitment events included bowling, NCAA basketball watch party and a bid dinner. Three new brothers joined Delta Lambda in spring, putting the chapter size over 30. Brothers celebrated Hanukkah in December with a heritage lesson and hanukkiah lighting.

Jeff A. Schnetzler, Jr., 2025, was profiled in an article in local media for his successes on campus, including with ZBT, the track and field team and future educators programs. Read the article here.

Indiana

Alpha Alpha (Purdue University)

Brothers Kiefer J. Earl, 2025, and Benjamin W. Riggins, 2025, were named Philanthropist of the Year and Thomas B. Robinson Fraternity Man of the Year, respectively, by the Office of Fraternity, Sorority and Cooperative Life at the annual community awards. Brother Earl is Programming Director and Brother Riggins is Operations Director for the Chapter.

The Chapter had huge wins in intramurals, including hockey, sand volleyball and wallyball. Brothers engage in a variety of service and philanthropy events across campus, and support Hillel programming.

Beta Gamma (Indiana University Bloomington)

The Chapter extended their philanthropic partnership with Kate’s Krew sarcoma research organization through this year. Beta Gamma grew by 27 new brothers in spring. They are very involved in intramural sports and have a growing relationship with Hillel.

Kansas

Epsilon Mu (University of Kansas)

Moms’ Weekend, followed by Dad’s Weekend, were in February. Brothers enjoy pickup hoops at the house as well as campus intramurals, and had a great formal retreat in late April. The Chapter is over 100 brothers strong.

Kentucky

Alpha Iota (University of Kentucky)

In February, Alpha Iota enjoyed a brotherhood event at the Cincinnati Aquarium. Brothers hosted Get on the Ball the last weekend in March. The Chapter is about 40 brothers strong currently.

The Chapter was approved to celebrate its Chartering by the ZBT Supreme Council early in the year. Plans for the celebration are in progress for Fall 2024.

Louisiana

Sigma (Tulane University)

Brothers celebrated an excellent Seder for Passover at Chabad. New Executive Board officers elected in April will be led by Chapter President Daniel Russell. Sigma Chapter grew by 25 new brothers this spring. Brothers are involved in intramural sports including flag football and soccer.

Massachusetts

Omicron (Tufts University)

In March, brothers took part in Read by the River, a literacy carnival hosted by Tufts Hillel, part of a campus-wide initiative that celebrates the love of books and reading. In February, they hosted a swab drive for Gift of Life.

Xi (Massachusetts Institute of Technology)

Brothers are strong academically and this leads to great internal chapter education programs for all recommended ZBT avenues. Brothers provide many hours of community service with groups such as Boy Scouts, Cam Kesem peer support for children impacted by a parent’s cancer and MIT HMMT math education competition. For fun, brothers enjoy playing on intramural flag football and basketball teams.

Epsilon Phi (Brandeis University)

They participated in the campus Relay for Life in March.

Gamma Psi (Northeastern University)

The Chapter was just confirmed as an active member of the Northeastern Interfraternity Council after many years of work. Congratulations to the chapter leaders! Brothers have had a strong impact through philanthropy and campus activities. In early February, they partnered with Tri Sigma to table for Relay for Life. Brothers had a swab drive event for Gift of Life in December.

Theta Alpha (University of Massachusetts-Amherst)

April was a busy month for Theta Alpha. The Chapter partnered with Sigma Delta Tau to host a dunk tank fundraiser benefitting Baystate Children’s Hospital. They hosted a Passover Seder for brothers with Hillel supported by the ZBT Chapter Heritage grants program. And finally, the Chapter had a Gift of Life swab drive with Alpha Phi Omega.

Maryland

Beta Zeta Epsilon (University of Maryland – College Park)

A team of brothers won the softball fraternity league championship to end the spring. They also play flag football, soccer and more IM sports. Brothers enjoyed a paintball outing in early April. They are very involved with both Chabad and Hillel. Sixteen new brothers joined the Chapter in spring.

Eta Kappa (Towson University)

Brothers had an awesome time raising money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through TigerTHON. Paired with Phi Mu, they won the Morale Madness pre-event activity. In March, the Chapter had a Pie a Zeeb event for TigerThon, co-hosted a blood drive, had a hygiene goods drive for a local shelter and a tabled for Gift of Life, collecting swabs.

Michigan

Beta Epsilon (Michigan State University)

Greek Week was in early April, partnered with Sigma Kappa and Pi Kappa Phi. In late April, the Chapter hosted a fun ZBTahiti event with Get on the Ball. The Chapter had the highest grade-point average among Interfraternity Council groups in Spring 2023 and the sixth highest among IFC groups for Fall 2023.

Missouri

Omega (University of Missouri)

The brothers were in Speaker’s Circle for the first full week of April for Get on the Ball, asking for signatures and donations to Children’s Miracle Network. Soon after, Omega hosted Mom’s Weekend.

Brothers dedicated their community service efforts to Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri, with most ZBTs giving 20-plus hours to the food bank.

Alpha Xi (Washington University-St. Louis)

Brothers had a great Hillel collaboration over Passover, where they assisted in set up and participated in the on campus Seder on the first night. The Chapter has been proud to celebrate its 100th anniversary since summer 2023.

North Carolina

Eta Sigma (Elon University)

Proceeds from Pie a Zeeb in April went to the Zeta Beta Tau Foundation which supports a multitude of brothers. This event was part of their ZBTahiti week festivities. A team of brothers made it to the intramural basketball finals. The Chapter grew by 16 new brothers this spring and has more than 80 members.

Eta Xi (University of North Carolina at Charlotte)

In April, Eta Xi started a golf tournament to benefit Children’s Miracle Network, and brothers also participated in the Ninerthon campus event for CMN.

The Chapter hosted its beach weekend formal, and hosted a service event with Plants for People, a student organization focused on green initiatives. Twelve new brothers joined in spring; Eta Xi has 80 brothers.

Alpha Pi (The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill)

This Prospective Chapter is looking to grow in its first semester. New brothers are very involved in Hillel.

New Jersey

Beta Delta (Rutgers State University of New Jersey)

April 15 at the Rutgers Greek Spring Awards Banquet we are proud to announce past President Justin Moskowitz, 2024, was awarded Chapter President of the Year, and current President Ryan Hopp, 2026, won rising leader of the year!

With a perfect 7-0 season, brothers took home the Keller Softball Championship in intramurals.

The Chapter raised more than $2,600 for RU Dance Marathon, benefitting Children’s Miracle Network, and co-sponsored an Israel education lecture with Rutgers Hillel and the Fighting Antisemitism On Campus group in February.

Epsilon Tau (Fairleigh Dickinson University-Madison)

April was busy, with ZBT Week, Airband event and formal. Brothers are very involved on campus and with sorority events, and several are a member of the swim team.

Antonio J. (A.J.) Vicidomini, 2026, has been elected to serve as Vice President of the IFC on the FDU Greek Senate next year.

New York

Delta (Columbia University)

A Friends and Family Dinner at the end of March was enjoyed by all. Game nights, exploring New York, casual sports are frequent fun for the Delta Chapter, and of course academic pursuits such as international relations guest speakers, alumni panels and professional development workshops are regularly held for brothers.

Gamma (New York University)

For a brotherhood event in April, the Gamma Chapter dressed up and took a boat to the Statue of Liberty. In March, brothers participated in the NYU Dance Marathon that supported The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation. The brothers also each provide many service hours to support B+. The spring class of new brothers was 12 ZBTs strong.

Kappa (Cornell University)

Service is an important tenet at the chapter, with brothers volunteering at a soup kitchen, in the community and even planned a major concert with proceeds benefitting philanthropy. For fun, brothers play football and basketball intramurals. Brothers are strong academically and this leads to great internal chapter education programs for all recommended ZBT avenues. The Chapter has almost 70 brothers.

Omicron (Syracuse University)

Brothers participate in football, basketball, soccer and even host an annual golf tournament.

Delta Zeta (Pace University)

The Chapter co-hosted a Purim masquerade with Sigma Delta Tau at Hillel, including a mask making event before the party. In April, they had a philanthropy event called Goal Gala.

Epsilon Delta (Binghamton University)

The Chapter was a key player in the campus’ Gift of Life Megadrive week in April. Service events are a priority, like local campus and city cleanups. Seven new brothers joined Epsilon Delta in 2024.

Epsilon Nu (State University of New York-Oneonta)

Brothers were leaders in the Out of the Darkness campus walk supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, with more than 300 people participating. The Chapter grew by 11 new brothers this spring. Brother Brandon Clack is Diversity and Inclusion Chair for the Inter-Greek Council.

Eta Iota (State University of New York-Plattsburgh)

The Prospective Chapter had several philanthropic events, like Pie a Zeeb and dining for dollars fundraisers to support Children’s Miracle Network. They also hosted a Gift of Life swab drive and took part in campus events like the Walk for Suicide Prevention.

Robert J. Henn, 2024, was named Fraternity Man of Excellence for 2024 at the annual IFC awards. He has served as Communication Director, Recruitment Director and IFC representative. Brother Henn shared on his social media: “I worked hard for this one, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the countless opportunities SUNY-Plattsburgh has provided me with. Thank you to the Eta Iota Prospective Chapter for an incredible journey. Today, I could not be more proud to be a ZBT!”

Ohio

Lambda (Case Western Reserve University)

The Lambda Chapter repeated as Rope Pull champions! Get On The Ball in early April was a success. Brothers were able to raise over $820 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

The annual ZBTahiti fundraiser was in late April, with proceeds benefitting Cleveland Rape Crisis Center.

Pennsylvania

Alpha Nu (Muhlenberg College)

In early April, for a brotherhood event, the ZBTs went to a Lehigh Valley IronPigs game, where brother Davis Miller, 2024, threw out the first pitch! Formal, Greek Week and a brotherhood retreat in Atlantic City also were in April.

In March, the Chapter purchased a new Megillah for Hillel and sponsored a bagel brunch. They are great partners and leaders in Hillel on campus, including attending the international Israel Summit. They also hosted a Gift of Life swab drive.

Theta (University of Pennsylvania)

Theta Chapter hosted ZBT’s Regional Officer Institute in February alongside Penn Hillel – thank you, brothers!

Alpha Psi (Pennsylvania State University)

The Chapter grew by 22 new brothers in spring. Penn State’s annual campuswide dance marathon, Thon, is a big part of brothers’ philanthropic work. Thon overall raised almost $17 million to support Penn State Health Children’s Hospital. Photo courtesy of Onward State.

Beta Alpha Chi (York College of Pennsylvania)

An alumni dinner kicked off the month of April. The Chapter’s popular Sister of the Semester contest benefits JWI as well as the philanthropy of the winner’s organization. They also resumed a ZBTahiti philanthropy week for spring. Beta Alpha Chi is the largest chapter on campus and grew with six new brothers in spring.

Beta Phi (University of Pittsburgh)

The Chapter kicked off the semester with a brotherhood retreat. A group of brothers won the intramural three vs. three basketball tournament in April, and formal was also in April. Beta Phi welcomed nine new brothers in spring.

Rhode Island

Rho Iota (University of Rhode Island)

Rho Iota participated in Rhodython on campus and attended several ZBT international events.

The Chapter continues to navigate a conduct from last year but was restored to full student organization status at the end of the spring term. Congratulations to the chapter leaders for their hard work.

South Carolina

Eta Phi (College of Charleston)

The Chapter has navigated some challenges since 2023, but they are recovering well. Their focus has been on recruitment and brotherhood building for spring. This includes strengthening their relationship with Hillel.

Eta Alpha (Clemson University)

This Prospective Chapter is still growing, through great campus partnerships with the Fraternity & Sorority Life Office and Hillel.

Tennessee

Alpha Gamma (Vanderbilt University)

Vanderbilt University hosted their Dance Marathon in mid-February and Zeta Beta Tau was a huge contributor to their grand total, especially through a Get on the Ball event. The Dance Marathon team recognized Alpha Gamma specifically on stage and did a total reveal for their chapter’s impact – over $5,000!

The Chapter also won the intramural flag football for spring and welcomed 22 new brothers.

Gamma Mu (University of Memphis)

Brothers and guests had a fun Masquerade Date Night in February. The Chapter also hosted a successful Gift of Life tabling event in April.

Texas

Lambda (University of Texas at Austin)

Lambda Chapter was recognized with a Math Classroom Coaching Champion Award from Austin Partners after supporting math students at Webb and Covington middle schools for the 2023-2024 academic school year. Philanthropy Chair Andrew Wilson organized this service activity. Brothers participated in a campus Israel block party in early April and worked with The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation throughout the year. The Chapter grew by an exciting 69 brothers this year and remains ZBT’s largest chapter.

Wisconsin

Alpha Kappa (University of Wisconsin-Madison)

Dads’ weekend was the first week of March. The ZBTahiti fundraiser was in mid-April, raising $33,000 for cystic fibrosis research. Congratulations, brothers! The Chapter has stood firmly with Israel, and they have a great relationship with Chabad.

Brother Ben Kutler and his teammate took home the title in the challenger bracket of a pickleball regional tournament in February.

Ontario

Zeta Eta (University of Western Ontario)

The brothers’ hockey team won the Fraternity division of their community hockey league of early 2024. They play intramural sports on campus like basketball and are involved in supporting sororities and their philanthropies. Brothers regularly attend Chabad events. In early April, Zeta Eta hosted a Run for the Children event that raised over $1,400 for children and families in need. Brother Jordan Shulman, 2024, placed first with a 23-minute time.
