From the Fraternity Interim Chief Executive Officer
By Libby Anderson — Issue: Spring 2019
I am honored to return to Zeta Beta Tau to serve as the Interim Chief Executive Officer. The opportunity to work with Brothers, volunteers and leaders is a true gift. The members of the ZBT Supreme Council are top in the fraternal world. They are invested in your fraternity experience and empower ZBT to be a leader in the industry. They create a vision for an outstanding staff to execute and provide brothers with limitless opportunities emulating everything that ZBT embodies.
My experiences as part of the ZBT family have been the highlight of my professional career. The opportunities that I have had to visit chapters, work with leaders, engage with alumni volunteers and break down barriers through the programs we have created are priceless. I am excited for many new experiences and interactions to come! ZBT as well as my organization, Alpha Epsilon Phi, have shaped me into the leader I am today. How has your ZBT experience defined who you are?
This summer, we will head to Denver, Colorado for the 105th International Convention. Our theme this year is Moving Mountains. ZBT has a strong history of Moving Mountains and continues to do so every day as the world’s first Jewish Fraternity. In 1989, we were the first organization to remove pledging from our membership, creating a path for other fraternities to join us on that journey. We strive to make our campuses and communities safer with our commitment to dialogs on healthy relationships and hate prevention.
The tenents of the ZBT Credo are the foundation of leadership. The commitment to Intellectual Awareness, Social Responsibility, Integrity and Brotherly Love are the guiding principles as brothers are Moving Mountains in your chapters, communities, careers and personal lives.
As a ZBT, your experience has been built on those that have come before you. The experience for futures brothers will be based on the legacy you leave today. Invest in your ZBT experience as an undergraduate, alumnus, volunteer and friend. Brotherhood is the gift that keeps on giving for a lifetime.
Interfraternally,
Libby Anderson, CAE
Interim Chief Executive Officer
