Zeta Beta Tau Foundation
New traveling exhibition will promote tolerance
Issue: Spring 2024
The Zeta Beta Tau Foundation is proud to announce INtolerance, its latest initiative to foster tolerance and acceptance on college campuses nationwide. In response to increasing hate on campuses, the Zeta Beta Tau Foundation plans to launch a traveling, immersive and interactive exhibition, designed to break down barriers and promote tolerance among diverse communities.
Scheduled to formally launch in the fall of 2025, and with beta testing in the fall of 2024, the exhibition will visit select college campuses where incidents of hate have occurred. This groundbreaking program brings together students, educators and community members in an innovative and engaging experience.
“At a time when hate, intolerance and antisemitism seem to pervade our college campuses, we must take proactive measures to promote tolerance, empathy, and understanding for all people,” Brother John D. Stemen, Esq., Omicron (Tufts) 1999, Chief Executive Officer of the Zeta Beta Tau Foundation. “Through this traveling exhibition, we aim to provide a platform for meaningful dialogue and reflection, enabling participants to confront hate in all its forms.”
The exhibition is designed to immerse participants in different aspects of the struggle against hate and discrimination. Led by trained educators, and with ZBT brothers actively involved, participants will have the opportunity and challenge of facing hate head-on, gaining valuable insights and perspectives along the way.
“Our goal is to create a space where individuals can come together to learn, grow and ultimately, make a positive difference in their communities,” added Brother Stemen. “By engaging with diverse perspectives and experiences, we believe that we can build a more compassionate society.”
The Zeta Beta Tau Foundation invites college campuses, student organizations and community partners to join in this initiative. Together, we can break down barriers, promote tolerance and work toward a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
